Oh No, My Tooth Got Knocked Out!

There’s a number of reasons why your tooth can get knocked out.

Perhaps it happened while playing a sport.

Or you somehow got hit in the mouth and it dislodged your tooth.

Whatever the case may be, it is possible to save your tooth. In case this happens, here are a couple things you can do that can help increase your chances of saving the tooth:

  • Keep the tooth moist at all times

  • Try placing the tooth back in socket without touching the root

  • If it’s not possible to put it back in the socket, try placing it between your cheek and gums

  • Try to keep it in a container with milk

  • SEE A DENTIST RIGHT AWAY!

It doesn’t have to be with us…so whichever Dentist you can see right away, go there!

From there, we will do our best to save your tooth. While there are not guarantees, if you take those steps, we can increase the chances of saving your tooth!

Hopefully this doesn’t happen to you, but in case it does, you’ll know what you can do before you see us in an emergency situation!
